Highlighting the inclusive process behind these strategies—engaging governments, civil society, private sector, and academia—he emphasizes that locally owned roadmaps, rooted in national priorities and aspirations, are essential to overcoming governance gaps and capacity constraints.

Beyond design, Dr. Eric calls for action: the strategies must move from reports to practical implementation integrated into national plans and budgets. He stresses the importance of peer learning, harmonized donor support, and coordinated partnerships to unlock opportunities in resilience, human potential, and natural capital.
