The Third Murdoch Commission on: Inclusive Transitions on the Continent of Africa.

The Murdoch Commission reports address cross-cutting policy challenges relevant to Australia and the rest of the world. The third Murdoch Commission provided a platform for Africans and Australians to collectively think about how Africa and Australia could foster inclusive growth transitions in both continents and globally. The authors researched available sources of knowledge on each of the subjects covered by the report, engaged international experts, drew inferences from policy dialogues and policy processes in Africa and Australia, including the Global Community of Practice Seminars of the African Development Bank Group, and reports of Panels of Eminent Leaders in Africa, including the Africa Progress Panel. Featuring global experts on several aspects of green and inclusive transitions in Africa and Australia, the third Murdoch Commission examines opportunities for collaboration between Australia and Africa in key sectors that underpin the required structural transitions to inclusive and resilient development in Africa, Australia, and indeed the rest of the World. The key question covered in the report include how to build:

1. 1. A healthy and food secure Africa,
   2. A sustainable blue economy in Africa,
   3. Power and light as essential drivers of transformation in Africa,
   4. Sustainable mining in Africa, and
   5. Africa’s demographic transitions and implications for structural transformation, and more.

In each case, the authors proffered practical recommendations on what needs to be done to build inclusive economies in Africa and Australia, and by extensive in the world.
