
The African Development Bank Group, together with its partners including the Green Growth Knowledge Platform (GGKP), WWF, GIZ, IISD and other partners and with support by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and the MAVA Foundation Launches the AfDB and GGKP Natural Capital for African Development Finance (NC4-ADF) Programme on mainstreaming natural capital in development financing in Africa.
Prof. Kevin Chika Urama, Senior Director, African Development Institute and OIC Chief Economists / Vice President – Economic Governance and Knowledge Management Complex, African Development Bank Group gave a keynote address at the launch of the Natural Capital for African Development Finance (NC4-ADF) Programme Launch, September 9, 2021, 13:00hrs to 13:15hrs UTC. The keynote address provided the business case for financing natural capital as an asset class, valuing natural capital, integrating natural capital assets in sovereign credit ratings of countries, and building capacity for natural capital accounting in African countries.
