Measuring the Green Wealth of Countries: Natural Capital and Economic Productitivity in Africa

“Measuring the Green Wealth of Countries: Natural Capital and Economic Productivity in Africa.

Produced in response to the African Leader's Nairobi Declaration at the Africa Climate Summit hosted in Nairobi, Kenya, Sept. 2023, the report calls for the use of natural capital accounting and upgrading national systems of accounting standards to include natural capital assets and ecosystem services they provide. The report was launched at the African Heads of States meeting during the World Leaders Summit at Cop29, which lead to a Baku Declaration on the report. The Baku Declaration was endorsed by the 38th Ordinary Session of the AU Assembly on 16 Feb. 2025.”
