
The publication was successfully launched in Nairobi on September 7th, 2021 at the Alliance for Green Revolution in Africa (AGRF) 2021 convening. Co-edited by Thomas Jayne (University Foundation Professor, Michigan State University), Lulama Ndibongo Traub (Regional Network of Agricultural Policy Research Institutes in Africa), Kevin Chika Urama (African Development Bank), and Louise Fox (Brookings Institute), the report examined key actions required to build sustainable and resilient food systems in Africa. Together with the Technical Editors who authored Chapters 1, 2, and 10 and provided extensive input to the remaining chapters of the report, Prof. Kevin Chika Urama - the Senior Director of the African development Institute was the lead author of chapters 7, 10 and of the report on “Knowledge and Capacity Development for Resilient Agri-Food Systems in Africa” and “An Action Plan for Building Sustainable and Resilient Food Systems in Africa” of the report.
